In terms of food trends, there is no trend more popular at the moment than healthy, clean eating. Green juices, avocados, kale and spirulina seem to have completely taken over, and more often than not, it can be a bit overwhelming. However, the only overwhelming thing about The Farm Girl Cafe on Portobello Road is just how good it is. They are only 2 weeks old but it is already on track to becoming a local favourite. The food is delicious, all super healthy and packed with goodness (apart from the croissants, which are naughty but mind blowingly good) and the atmosphere is completely relaxed and fuss free. It is run by Rose and Antony, who have done an incredible job of turning the place into an idyllic and picturesque spot just off from the hustle and bustle of the Portobello Market. Definitely try the coconut bacon (smoked coconut but somehow tastes exactly like bacon) and the granola with coconut yoghurt, they are both delicious. Not only is The Farm Girl Cafe doggy friendly, they have their own in house frenchie called Bronte, who has found a new best friend in Bruce. We feel like we will be spending a lot of time there..
