Mondays are pretty boring, especially in the winter, or after a fun weekend involving lots of dressing up and dancing. Luckily for us this Monday Rémy Martin decided to throw a party to launch its new pop-up private members club, and so our Monday night was anything but dark and gloomy!
La Maison is everything a private members club should be, it is discreet, but inviting, busy yet intimate ,and filled with the all important air of subtle sophistication, much like Rémy Martin itself. The party was perfect, we drank a section of unique house specialties, our favourite being the Rémy Grand Tonic ( which is essentially a more refined version of a Gin and Tonic ), and we were treated to all sorts of delicious canapés, especially selected for the event by Tom Parker - Bowles (think mini lobster burgers and mini chilli peanut vegetable rolls). We had a great time chatting to Vogue’s Laura Bailey and were then ushered downstairs for a surprise violin performance by Gemma Chan, who blew us away with her classical renditions.
Rémy Martin is an incredibly flavourful spirit, and to prove it La Maison presented us with a table laden with all the notes and flavours that go into making a bottle, surprise additions included fudge, orange rind and most surprisingly parmesan! Other surprises included learning that the new Rémy Martin brand ambassador Jeremy Renner is not only a Hollywood movie star, but also an interior decorator! Who knew? We spent the rest of the night nattering away on the top floor enjoying the incredible environment that they have created using many of the brand signatures. As you can see from these pictures the attention to detail was mind blowing, and believe us when we say, so was the party!
