You know when you go to a restaurant, or café, that is so perfect, and so special that you can’t stop recommending it, and talking about it, for days? Well, allow us to introduce you to our latest discovery, Jar Kitchen!
Located in between Holborn and Covent Garden tube stations, on Drury Lane, Jar Kitchen is the perfect pit stop for for a cosy lunch if you are out exploring the markets, or ideal for a pre-theatre bite to eat. Normally we are not ones for three course meals, but after seeing the menu, we just couldn't resist. Ceviche, multi grain salad with braised lamb, pulled pork buns with fresh apples, cinnamon sugar donuts with salted caramel, (you need these in your life) every course was beautifully presented by our charming waitress and thankfully tasted just as good as they looked.
All the food served is locally produced and hand selected by the owners, meaning they don’t have to compromise on quality or taste. We think that sometimes restaurants are only as good as their atmosphere, and that is certainly not something Jar Kitchen is lacking; well thought through decorative aspects mean that you almost feel like you could be eating at someones home (albeit someone with good taste, who happens to be a really exceptional cook! ). Its affordable, fuss free and delicious, three things we value most in a restaurant, we can not recommend it enough!
